has been cultivated. Used mainly for a vessel in the past, now it is back on the stage in a new light… to light.

Why craft wood with thousands of tools when nature gives ready perfectly imperfect form for a lampshade – the gourd’s one. It is the best natural home of light with its outer and inner beauty. Not to mention it is a renewable resource – bottle gourd is a fast-growing annual. I call this meant-to-be design. Can we mass-produce work lamp with irregular natural shade? No Ordinary Lamp design is a solution to this challenge.
